A friend of mine once said that she was left unimpressed by the food in Bali. To be honest, I have no idea how. The small island of Bali is packed with tons of great local and international cuisine from delicious Indonesian dishes like Nasi Goreng, Oxtail Soup and Satay to mouth-watering International favorites like Beef Wagu Burgers, Japanese Sushi, and Soufflé Pancakes. But with all of that said, my favorite neighborhoods to eat in Bali are Canggu and Perenenan. These villages are truly a foodie’s dream! And with hundreds of restaurants in the area, many with stunning views and within walking distance of the beach, it’s hard to pick just a few. But if I must, after visiting many local spots, these are my top picks, the 9 Best International Restaurants In Canggu and Pererenan.

1. Arte Canggu

If you’re searching for a relaxed beach-side space to enjoy the flavors of authentic Italian cuisine, this is your spot. Surrounded by the works of local artists, Arte is truly a masterpiece.

With the hope of providing a space that reflects Bali’s creative energy and community spirit, Arte exhibits the work of local artists throughout the property. Every art piece can be purchased onsite, with 10% of sales donated to charity and the rest given directly to the artist. If you enjoy art, this is a great spot for you.

Thought I was done? Nope. Arte also boats a well-sized library called Mine Is Yours which hosts one of the biggest collections on the island. It’s completely free to access the library, however, they do ask for a small donation to keep it running.

7. Tony’s New York Pizza

The Google Reviews will tell you all that you need to know about this place. Tony’s New York Pizza is hands down the best pizza spot on the island. Dare I say, maybe in all of Asia! With over 150 Google reviews and a 4.9-star rating, you can’t go wrong with a slice from Tony’s.

I stopped by this small pizza joint almost every day for two weeks just to order a slice of Buffalo Chicken Pizza. I’m not sure what kind of crack they put in the sauce but it’s definitely something worth getting addicted to.

9. YUKI

I saved the best for last! One of my favorite restaurants in Canggu, YUKI is reminiscent of a Modern Japanese Izakaya offering a unique variety of Traditional Japanese cuisine and fusion dishes. My favorite dish is the Watermelon Sushi Tuna Roll… I’m not a vegetarian, but I’m sadly allergic to fish. This, however, is a great sushi alternative! And no, I’m not saying it tastes like real sushi, but whatever it tastes like, it’s good! In fact, everything that I tried at YUKI was ridiculously delicious.
